Project Launch Conference

On 20 November 2012, 11.00, at the Marriage House in Slatina conference was held to launch the project "Monitoring of environmental quality in the border area Olt Belene" code MIS-ETC 359, project co-funded by the European Regional Development subsidy under the contract signed with the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism Authority program Management Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation 2007-2013.

The event was organized by project leader Intercommunity Development Association Public Utilities Service for Water Supply and Sanitation "Olt".
The association, together with his Bulgarian partner, the Municipality Belene project runs as of 19.04.2012.
The total value of the project is 5,857,020 euros, VAT included, refundable financial assistance being 5,729,336.97 euros, VAT included.
The project will be implemented in the locations Slatina, Olt County, and Belene, Bulgaria and will take 24 months.
The project objective is to improve the environmental quality in the cross-border region Olt-Belene by developing an integrated monitoring of the water discharged into the sewer system in Olt county and air quality in the town of Belene, relying on the joint efforts of local authorities in the area Border said, coordination and monitoring activities to improve environmental quality.
This conference was attended by representatives of local government and media representatives from the region: Slatina City Hall, the City Police Slatina, ISU Olt, APM Olt, National Environmental Guard - Commissariat County, Olt Water Company Olt SA, CityHall of Potcoava, GAZETA OLTULUI, GAZETA NOUA, EVENIMENT DE OLT, PRIMA TV and REALITATEA OLTULUI.
